About the teachers:

Megan Lim

event_description_image_165121_1738168601_c967d.jpg?_a=BAAAV6DQ

Megan is a Singaporean ceramist and designer based in London.

What started as a hobby has grown into a central aspect of her artistic practice, where she creates both functional and sculptural pieces.

Her functional work is crafted on the potter’s wheel using both stoneware and porcelain. She particularly enjoys the process of throwing and continuously hones her skills, with a strong emphasis on form and function. In her sculptural work, she employs hand-building techniques to depict religious figures, using her work to explore the boundaries of cultural appropriation and the commodification of traditions.

In addition to her own practice, she has experience teaching both throwing and hand-building, sharing her love for the craft with others.
