BE WILD SESSIONS AT WATERCRESS FARM

A day of nature connection, immersion and inspiration.

Set within our rewilding project at Watercress Farm, our free nature connection programme offers groups yr 2 and above a unique insight into the natural world. Please note that as a working farm the site is not universally accessible.

Our BE Wild sessions (for classes of up to 30) offer three visits over the school year for children to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of nature in a way that fosters curiosity and builds a strong sense of belonging. Through this understanding, children will learn to protect nature.

Recommended age is Yr 2- Yr 10 . Please contact us ( nature.connection@belmont.estate) before booking if you would like to bring more than one class/day.

HOW THE SESSION RUN

Unlike traditional education, our programme focuses on connection with nature, through the unrestrained joy of self-discovery and collaboration through play. We encourage children to let their imaginations run wild as they explore and learn whatever they need to in that moment.

The visit begins with a wild walk, exploring our land ,free range animals and wildlife. After lunch around the fireside, children are free to explore our riverside woodland and stream.

“If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, then let us allow them to love the earth before we ask them to save it.” - David Sobel
