Join us at a Transition Belper FREE community screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing  to find out.

This new 50-minute, revelatory film brings together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and insights - along with credible, positive responses. Issues covered include:   Extreme weather ,  Food security ,  Health,  Cost of living. 

Naturalist Chris Packham has said : "I’d encourage people everywhere to attend a screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing. This new film creates exactly the kind of honest local conversation we now urgently need, both about the threat from climate and nature breakdown, but also about what we can do, together with our politicians, to build a better future.”

The film presents the national implications of climate and nature breakdown in a single, accessible, non-partisan account, helping audiences process the information on a more human level. And will deliver the frank facts about the threats, but also the enormous benefits to our economy, resilience and quality of life, if Government leads genuine emergency action.

FILM FOLLOW UP: 

After the film there will be a 45 -minute facilitated discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally to support. This includes encouraging our local MPs and councillors to back the Climate and Nature Bill  -  https://www.zerohour.uk/  and to act on our concerns.

This film from the National Emergency Briefing (released on  7th April 2026) - is a public information initiative to ensure the UK is fully briefed on the climate and nature crisis. It is based on the November '25 National Emergency Briefing in Westminster, with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden and a range of voices from across the UK.
