Drypoint is an accessible and versatile form of intaglio printmaking and a brilliant way to get into the traditional processes that intaglio printmaking has to offer.
During this workshop you will learn mark making techniques utilised across the intaglio spectrum as well as how to ink up and print your plate on a cast iron printing press.
This workshop is perfect for those looking to start building confidence in the print workshop and gain an insight into the language of print, its processes, and its potentials. By the end of this workshop you will have created your very own bespoke pr
ints on paper to take home with you.
This is a non-toxic workshop, utilising sustainable oil-based ink.
All materials provided.

About Ben:
Ben Topping is a London based artist, specialising in etching. His practice explores the temporality of ruins embedded in the natural landscape. Ben is a Print Fellow and specialist etching tutor for the adult evening course at City and Guilds of London Art School. He studied BA Fine Art at Winchester School of Art followed by a Masters degree in Fine Art at City and Guilds of London Art School. Ben has recently facilitated workshops and demonstrations throughtout his career, notable examples include Christe's "Old Master Works on Paper Morning Programme", Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair an London Craft Week.
