Beginner Sewing Workshop: Scrunchies🧵✨

Curious about sewing but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect introduction to using a sewing machine — and you’ll leave with a cute, handmade scrunchie and a handy reference guide to use at home.

In this class, we’ll walk through the basics of how a sewing machine works, including threading, winding a bobbin, stitch selection, and sewing simple seams. No prior sewing experience is needed — this class is designed for true beginners.

You’ll learn:

• Sewing machine basics & terminology

• How to thread your machine and wind a bobbin

• How to adjust tension and choose the right stitch

• Basic straight stitching and seam practice

• How to construct a scrunchie from start to finish

What you’ll make:

• 1 finished fabric scrunchie to take home
