Winter Herbal Farmacy

A hands-on day of winter remedies, acute herbal medicine and seasonal treatment skills

Build the confidence and practical skills to support yourself and your loved ones through common winter ailments using herbs, foods and traditional preparations.

During this immersive workshop, you will explore how colds, coughs, fevers, sore throats, sinus congestion, viral infections and tummy upsets can present, and how to choose safe and appropriate herbal support.

What you will learn

  • How to recognise common symptom patterns
  • Key winter herbs, garden plants and kitchen spices
  • How to choose remedies for different stages of illness
  • How to make and use infusions, decoctions, syrups, vinegars and oxymels
  • Foods that may support or hinder recovery
  • Important safety considerations, red flags and when to seek medical advice

The day combines practical remedy making, tasting and experiential learning with clear, clinically informed teaching.

You will also spend time meeting medicinal plants growing on Bee’s two-acre smallholding.

What you will take home

  • Your own Winter Herbal First Aid kit containing eight seasonal remedies
  • A detailed A4 workshop folder and reference guide
  • Practical remedy-making skills for the colder months
  • Greater confidence in choosing herbal and nutritional support
  • A one-hour online group follow-up session approximately one month later

Who is it for?

The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with existing herbal, clinical or healthcare experience. Teaching will be adapted to the knowledge and experience of the group.
