Ensemble San Francisco

Saturday, February 20, 2027
7:30 PM at the Lafayette Library

Ensemble San Francisco returns with an exceptional program, pairing Beethoven's visionary late-period Quartet in E-flat, Op. 127, with music of Kodály and the rarely heard Fifth Quartet by Karl Weigl — a Holocaust survivor whose extraordinary music is only now finding its rightful place in the canon.

This ensemble’s musicians bring national acclaim to the stage, having performed at such venerated venues as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, the San Francisco Symphony, and more. Intimate, transcendent, unforgettable — this beloved Bay Area ensemble promises an evening of chamber music music you won't forget.
