In Pursuit of Revenue Diversification

Organizations across the Social Profit sector are being asked to diversify revenue while navigating increasing demand, constrained funding, and more complex stakeholder environments. The ones gaining traction right now are thinking differently about revenue, partnerships, governance, and long-term sustainability.

This Social Profit Project Speaker Series will explore how organizations are building more resilient and diversified revenue models to support long-term impact.

Together, we’ll examine what successful diversification actually requires in practice, how boards and leadership teams are approaching revenue strategy differently, and how public, private, and philanthropic capital can better align to support sustainable delivery.

The event will feature a keynote from Jeff Loomis, Executive Director of Momentum, followed by a moderated panel discussion with leaders bringing perspectives from across the P4 ecosystem, including Wafa Kadri, Executive Leader in Social Impact & CSR and Angie Gélinas, President & CEO of the Nonprofit Chamber.

Designed for senior leaders, funders, board members, and community partners, this event offers practical insight and meaningful connection for those working to start, shift, and scale social impact.

Jeff Loomis
Executive Director at Momentum

Jeff works as the Executive Director of Momentum – a change-making organization that works to reduce poverty and develop a local economy in Calgary that works better for everyone. Momentum partners with people living on lower incomes to get good jobs, create their own jobs through self-employment, and save money to build their assets.

Jeff graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree and Master’s Degree in Environmental Design at the University of Calgary. He has also completed professional development at Harvard University, the Western Ivey School of Business, and Mount Royal University. After meeting at the University of Calgary as members of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, Jeff and his wife Anna are now proud parents of three children full of positive energy and at all stages of secondary school – early elementary, junior, and senior high.

Wafa Kadri 
Executive Leader in Social Impact & CSR

Wafa Kadri is a senior social impact and corporate social responsibility leader with more than three decades of experience advancing equity, strengthening communities, and shaping purpose-driven strategies across global organizations and diverse industries, including banking and energy. She has led transformative social impact strategies and programs, employee engagement initiatives, philanthropic portfolios, and cross-sector partnerships that drive meaningful, lasting change for business and society.

Guided by a deep belief in the power of collaboration—and in the responsibility of business to contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate world—Wafa has championed initiatives that expand opportunity, support underserved communities, and embed social purpose within corporate culture and operations around the globe.

Outside of her professional work, Wafa is a committed volunteer and advocate for several causes, including refugee supports, gender equity and inclusion, mental health and inspiring the next generation of young, global leaders.

Angie Gélinas
President & CEO of the Nonprofit Chamber

Angie Gélinas is President + CEO of the Nonprofit Chamber in Alberta, where she spends her days convincing people that nonprofits are essential infrastructure, not just nice organizations with great potlucks. A former theatre producer and deputy minister turned sector strategist, she brings systems thinking, an unhealthy love of analogies, and the belief that the sector belongs at every table where prosperity gets discussed. She lives in the grey areas between policy and practice, which honestly is just where all the interesting stuff happens.

Jeni Piepgrass brings more than 20 years of experience in the social profit sector to her role as President of Bespoke Social Profit Solutions. She works with organizations across Canada to strengthen strategy, funding, and partnerships that drive meaningful community impact. Jeni has led major capital campaigns, including Glenbow Reimagined and Studio Bell, and has played a key role in advancing innovative social finance tools, including Windmill Microlending’s Community Bond. Known for her strategic insight and sector-wide perspective, Jeni brings a thoughtful, grounded approach to moderating conversations across the P4 ecosystem.
