Lime Basics
A joint venture by BEST Training and the Heritage Skills Development Group, proudly sponsored by Anglia Lime.
Join us for a specialist one-day, hands-on training course exploring the use of traditional lime in the repair and conservation of historic buildings.
This practical course combines expert demonstrations, technical discussion and hands-on workshop sessions to provide a solid foundation in traditional lime mortars, renders and plasters. Throughout the day you'll learn about the Lime Cycle, the different types of lime, selecting appropriate mixes, preparing backgrounds and applying lime in a range of conservation situations.
We'll also explore common defects, troubleshooting, specification writing and contract considerations, giving you practical knowledge that can be applied directly to real conservation projects.
