BE THE ONE is a RED, WHITE AND BLUE Gala on February 11 2023, raising awareness of how suicide is affecting our Veterans and First Responders. Suicide is a major public health concern. SPECIAL APPEARANCE by Nashville recording artist JORDAN OAKS and local sensation the 52nd Street Band.

In 2019, suicide was the 10th leading cause of death overall in the United States, claiming the lives of over 47,500 people. Suicide is complicated and tragic, but it is often preventable. We encourage all guests to show their support for our heroes during this event. We are asking that you please wear RED for our first responders, WHITE for our veterans or BLUE for our police officers. Note that this a semi-formal event.

Help us raise money to ensure continued funding for our very own- OAK ISLAND VFW. The purpose of the VFW is to help raise awareness of veteran issues, and to assist them with needed support. Food, beverages, cash bar, live music, and auction items will be apart of the evenings festivities.
