It’s been years since we’ve had an in-person LinkedIn Local Long Island event. I'll bet you're a bit like me and you are very eager to get out from behind your computer screen and meet the people behind the profiles!

For those of you who have never attended a LinkedIn Local, you may think it’s about LinkedIn… but no, it’s about meeting the people behind the profiles. It’s part networking, part content, or speaker.

Previous topics have included:

• New features of LinkedIn (Ok, sometimes it IS about LinkedIn)
• Why walking should be part of your business and life strategy (We actually went on a walk at Canon USA after the talk)

This time, the topic will be related to my work as an Exactly What to Say™ Certified Guide, which is all about powerful phrases for critical conversations… in leadership, sales, and in life. You'll learn about the four cornerstones for critical conversations and some phrases you can use immediately.

The amazing Donna Drake has invited us to her media studios in Melville and wow, what a wonderful spot. They have multiple studios that are good for video, photography, tv shows, podcast recordings, and more. They even have a 280 Immersive Besser Room Studio, with infinity interactive backgrounds. I’m not exactly sure what it is, but I’m picturing those immersive “experiences” in the city.
