Tarot Without Tears - Learn to Read the Tarot in Two Sessions

Sat Jan 20, 2024 1:00 PM - Sat Feb 24, 2024 5:30 PM EST Online, Zoom

Are you new to the Tarot? Sign up now for the best introduction to the Tarot you can find. THIS is where to begin.

After a break last year, my beloved Tarot Without Tears classes are waiting just for YOU!

This is a 2-part package where you will get both the required introductory foundation (Jan. 20, 2024) and the full day of practice, by the end of which you will be able to read the cards for yourself (Feb. 24, 2024).

In Part One: (1-5:30pm Eastern time) you will discover what all the buzz over the Tarot is about! Whether you would like an introductory overview, or you're trying to break away from relying on the books, or perhaps you'd like a hands-on refresher to reawaken an old interest, this half day of fun, discovery, and practice will cover:

  • lots of myth-busting about the Tarot, including what it is and where it came from.

  • the differences between Tarot and other intuitive arts.

  • what Tarot is (and is not!).

  • how to choose and care for your deck.

  • techniques for tapping into your intuition.

  • the essential components of the Tarot, including the elemental energies of the Suits, the Court cards, and the Major and Minor Arcana.

With this as firm foundation, you can be sure you are developing superior skills that will bring you years of enjoyment. No experience is necessary.

Then welcome to Part Two: The Wisdom Journey (11am-5:30pm Eastern), where you'll get to practice, go deeper, and get lots more experience.

In this all-day Tarot intensive, we zip beyond the basics, exploring in more depth and working with the Tarot as a tool for accessing your deep wisdom.  (And naturally, since it is all day, there will be plenty of breaks, plus a lunch break, too).

By the day’s end, you’ll be able to confidently discern vital information directly from the cards, without being dependent on the books and without lots of memorization. Without a bunch of hocus-pocus.

Without tears!

Specifically, you’ll be

  • Seeing how to combine individual cards together to make a reading.

  • Learning about your Tarot Soul and Personality Profile.

  • Experiencing the Major Arcana cards personally.

  • Developing your intuitive skills.

  • Discovering how interpretation of a card is affected by the placement of the other cards nearby.

  • Developing clear questions and simple, powerful spreads.

  • Giving and receiving lots of fun, illuminating practice readings in pairs and teams.

There is just no substitute for the exclusive attention you get in my  workshops! And there's simply nothing like learning from a master-level teacher with over 50 years of both Tarot and professional training expertise.

After a couple of years' break, I am so delighted to be offering this for Tarot beginners again. It is a passion of mine to ensure that new readers get off to a strong, ethical, and joyful start. Thank you for joining us!

Just so you know --

  • Seating is limited - only 30 spots are available, and payment in advance is required.

  • You will need your own computer or laptop. Phones and tablets are, frankly, a poor way to take my highly interactive classes, and I do not recommend them.

  • Be sure to bring a deck, preferably one similar to the Rider-Waite-Smith, which is the "common language" of Tarot and from which most modern decks derive. Also be sure to bring a notepad or journal for lots of notes. I'll also have plenty of handouts, for you, too.

  • Part One is a 4.5 hour class, with a couple of brief breaks.

  • Part Two is essentially all day, so we will have a longer lunch break, plus several others sprinkled through our day.

  • If the class fills up, there will be an automatic waiting list. You will be invited to fill any possible vacancies in the order you registered, so you might hold the date, even if you don't get in right away. You will have a couple of hours to respond, before the opening is passed to the next person in line.

  • Life happens, and things do come up. I understand. So if you cancel up to 7 days before PART ONE begins (before Jan. 20), I will refund your registration. If you took Part One, but then need to cancel your participation before Part Two, we will come to a private arrangement. Otherwise, I cannot refund your payment. Thanks for your understanding.
