About our speakers

Shaun Uthup, Creative Director & Founder, SOZO [Cheltenham]

 Shaun setup SOZO in 2000 and has grown SOZO into an award-winning digital agency employing over 35 people. As Creative Director he is responsible for the design team and creative output. Shaun’s also responsible for all things B Corp and is passionate about sustainability.

Shaun is going to talk about how to produce low carbon websites, which are still visually interesting and impactful. He will talk about how sustainable design and programming techniques can reduce a website’s digital footprint.

Todd Gifford, Managing Director, Optimising IT [Gloucester]

Todd has been a part of Optimising IT since February 2015, starting as an IT Consultant. Over the years, he has worked his way up to Managing Director. Todd loves the dynamic nature of the business, where no two days are the same. He thrives on coming up with new ideas and new ways to drive the business forward. Outside of work, Todd enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.

Todd is going to talk about Cloud & storage for lower impact. 

Bethan Unsworth, CMO & Co-founder, ReforestGroup [Stroud]

Bethan co-founded ReforestHosting, which is a green web hosting service that offers a range of services, including hosting, web design and management. With over 44,000 trees planted and 3,200 square feet of land sponsored and protected, they believe that business should be used to do good.

She is going to cover the difference between traditional and green hosting, what green hosting means, the importance of making an informed choice when choosing a hosting provider and some of the benefits to businesses for choosing green hosting.

Geoffrey Newsome, CEO, ITSA Digital Trust [Cheltenham]

IT and education have featured prominently throughout Geoffrey’s career, from teaching to setting up one of the UK’s first online bookshops, to working on company boards selling educational products into schools and leading the ITSA Digital Trust charity.

He will give an overview of what ITSA Digital Trust does.
