About Forum for the Future
Forum for the Future is a leading international sustainability organisation running out of offices in the UK, US, India and Singapore. It was co-founded by Jonathan Porritt in Cheltenham in 1996. Since then, Forum for the Future have been working in partnership with business, governments and civil society to accelerate the shift towards a just and regenerative future in which both people and the planet thrive. They are specialists in multi-stakeholder collaborations.
About Dr Sally Uren, OBE
Dr Sally Uren OBE is Executive Director and Chief Acceleration Officer of Forum for the Future, following eleven years (2013 – 2024) as Chief Executive. During this time, she has worked alongside many of the recognised leaders in sustainable business, co-founded the Net Positive Coalition and designed and delivered a number of Forum’s multi-stakeholder collaborations. Sally is externally recognised as an expert facilitator, speaker, and moderator.
Among Sally’s key passions is inspiring and equipping others to deliver systemic change for sustainability, which she continues to do through flagship projects including: Growing our Future, a collaborative programme designed to scale regenerative agriculture in the U.S; the Business Transformation Compass, a one-of-its-kind guide to just and regenerative business; and the Climate and Health Coalition, which is galvanising private sector action to tackle the human health impacts of the climate crisis. She also works alongside a range of ambitious businesses, including Aviva, Ahold Delhaize, The Crown Estate, and Walgreens Boots Alliance.
Sally is currently an independent member of Advisory Boards at Bentley Motors and EcoVadis, where she sits on a groundbreaking Purpose Committee.
Sally is also a Trustee of the Galapagos Conservation Trust as well as an independent Non-Executive Director for the Duke of Sussex’s Travalyst sustainable travel initiative. In December 2017, Sally received an OBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for services to sustainability in business.
