Gloucestershire B Local is hosting a best practice webinar on how we can use the psychology of human behaviour to make meaningful sustainability action, based on Darren Evans's book "The SustainAbility Advantage".

So why do so many sustainability initiatives still feel slow, complex, and hard to deliver?

The problem isn’t a lack of motivation. It’s a lack of ability.

In this practical webinar, Darren Evans explores how the psychology of human behaviour explains why good intentions often stall and how systematic design principles, grounded in real-world behaviour, make better outcomes easier, cheaper, more scalable, and more reliable.

Drawing on the principles in The Sustainability Advantage, Darren will show how time pressure, complexity, habits, and mental load shape decisions, and how small, well-designed changes can unlock meaningful social and environmental impact.

This session is for professionals who want results, not rhetoric. Those people who are interested in a systematic tried and tested way that has been proven over more than 30 years of research at Stanford University’s Behaviour Design Lab.

The Presenter

Darren Evans is founder of Darren Evans Consultancy. He solves the complex issue of reaching sustainability aspirations in a clear, progressive, and financially viable way.

He has 19 years' business experience with some of the worlds most influential organisations. He also has sustainability experience with Stanford, UWE, Salford and Bath Universities
