Support your wellbeing with some time spent in nature with good company, a chat and cuppa by the fire. These informal and relaxed sessions are a great way to connect outdoors with new people or old friends from past courses and events. I may occasionally offer a craft or activity as well, but these are not guaranteed.
We may have a stroll around the woodland, noticing seasonal changes.
From 10am-12 each month we will be at our base site a short walk from to the car park. I can provide a brew and biscuits, but please bring your own cup, and if you want to sit in comfort rather than on log stumps, your own camping chair.
If you have a portable craft or project that you don't seem to have time to finish, why not bring it with you and work on it while we chat?
These outdoor community sessions are unfunded and venue hire is being partly subsidised by the Shuttlewood Clarke Foundation. Tickets are free but I invite a token donation of £3 to help cover my costs.
Please consider contributing in some other way if you are unable to donate. A piece of dry wood for the fire, a pack of biscuits or snacks to share etc will all be welcome.
If you have a question about these sessions please get in touch via connect@betteroutdoors.org or message 07720299366 on the day of the drop-in if you've booked a place but your plans change.
Parking is round the back of the Manor House, by the Deer Park - past the Activity Centre gates following the signs for Forest School parking. Once parked, retrace your route past the side of the Manor House and look to the right for the pedestrian gate that leads to the Activity Centre. I will meet you here just before 10 am.
