COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Qi gong is an ancient practice working with mind, body and breath and is the perfect antidote to our busy, often stressful lives. During this term spread over 7 weeks you will practice the 12 Rivers -12 simple movements that correspond with 12 organs within your body and also the 18 forms to help with overall wellbeing. We will also practice Qigong 5 element breathwork, Between Heaven and Earth practice which works on our 8 Extraordinary meridians and helps to build our stores of energy, some gentle animal moves to build resiliency and there will be a particular focus this term on nourishing the metal element which is associated with the Autumn and our immune system and protective energy. We will also be practicing some Wuji practices which is a 360 holistic practice to bring calmness even when life feels chaotic, shift old patterns of energy and leave us feeling renewed. Physically Qigong can help with muscles, joints and ligaments and improve body alignment, posture and balance. It also helps our immune system too as it gets the lymphatic system moving. Emotionally it can help to shift blocked emotional patterns and reduce stress and anxiety. This is innercise not exercise! Once learnt these practices can be slotted into daily life to balance the body and leave you feeling calm yet energised.
COURSE DETAILS:
This is a 7 week term, each session will be one hour and will run at Seal village Hall in Seal on Fridays at 09.15am to 10.15am, starting on Friday 6th September and ending on Friday 18th October 2024.
The ticket price is for all 7 sessions.
