Securing a Cislunar Future: Markets, Minerals, and Momentum
As interest and activity between Earth and the Moon accelerate, the cislunar region is emerging as a new economic, strategic, and geopolitical domain. Once viewed primarily through the lens of exploration, cislunar space is now becoming a platform for sustained commercial activity, scientific innovation, and international competition. From lunar resources and in-space manufacturing to shared infrastructure, governance frameworks, and investment models, decisions made today will shape how this economy develops for decades to come.
Building on the findings of the Beyond Earth Working Group’s report, “Securing a Cislunar Future: Markets, Minerals, and Momentum,” this webinar convenes experts from industry, policy, finance, and academia to explore the evolving foundations of the cislunar economy. Panelists will discuss emerging market opportunities, infrastructure needs, investment and risk-sharing models, and the role of policy and international norms in enabling sustainable growth. The conversation will examine where commercial momentum is already forming, where uncertainty remains, and what signals will define a successful, resilient cislunar economic future.
