Thank You Day to Volunteers, Donors and Service Users at Krishna Eco Farm
Need help?
Hi,
We would like to warmly invite you to a special 'Thank You Day Lunch' to thank and express appreciation to everyone who helped our Food For Scotland and Community Recovery Projects:
1) to our Volunteers. You have been very kindly helping over many months during this covid19 pandemic to deliver meals, pick up donated food, help at our farm, provide wellbeing, etc.
2) to our Donors. You have been very kindly donating towards our free food distribution and we would like to provide a nice meal to you
2) to our Service Users. We would also like to thank you for the opportunity to assist you in these challenging times.
This is a wonderful opportunity for drivers, cooks, donors, service users and other team members to come and meet together at our eco farm and enjoy nice lunch and increase wellbeing.
Here is the programme:
11:30-12:30 - yoga (optional. If you are not coming to yoga - please arrive at 12:30)
12:45-13:45 - eco farm tour - meet the alpacas and have a look around the farm)
13:50-14:50 - lunch - delicious lunch prepared at the farm by our expert cooks
15:00-15:20 - meditation or acoustic music
15:30-16:00 - relaxing music for wellbeing by our meditation band
Due to current COVID19 restrictions event will be limited to 15 people (as it will be held outdoors).
Therefore we will spread out this event over a few Sundays until we have thanked as many people as possible. When the restrictions lift we will be welcome more people at a time.
IT WAS A TEAM EFFORT
Food For Scotland
It has been a very challenging year for all of us. In response to the pandemic, since May 2020 up to date, our Food For Scotland volunteer team has cooked and delivered more than 25,000 meals directly and via partner organisations to homeless, vulnerable, self-isolating, elderly, low-income families/individuals and front-line workers too.
In November, 2020 we started a hot meals home local delivery service for those who needed it covering Lesmahagow, Coalburn, Kirkmuirhill, Blackwood, Larkhall, Carluke, Lanark, Rigside and Douglas areas. With great team effort of our volunteers - over 6,000 meals has been cooked and delivered.
We are continuing this service during the summer to elderly, low-income family and individuals and anyone else in difficulty as there are still a number of people affected by the pandemic.
Community Recovery Project
Since end of February, our online meditation events and Yoga Online were attended by 613 people in total. People really appreciated this support from the comfort of their home, that also provided much needed sense of community in the online environment.
From the end of April we have been running in-person yoga outdoors that was attended by over 100 people.
BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL
