BHS Access & Safety Conference 2026

Sat 14 Nov 2026 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM GMT Online, Microsoft Teams

We’re back! After a short reprieve last year, our Access & Safety Conference returns for 2026.

We're firming up the programme and topics, but we're planning for the day to be packed with inspiring speakers, engaging sessions and key insights into what’s next for access and safety.

Make sure you save the date - book today!

Consider a donation when you book
Our conference is free to attend, but as a charity, we would welcome donations which can be added to your booking. Funds raised will support our Ride Out Fund and Dead Slow fund.

  • Ride Out Fund - provides funding for projects that open and restore safe off-road routes for equestrians as well as other users around the UK. With more and more horse and rider road injuries being reported to the BHS every year, it is vital that these routes are preserved for the safety of equestrians. The more we raise, the more projects we can assist with funding and improve the lives and most importantly, the safety, of all off-road users.
  • Dead Slow - With an increasing number of recorded incidents involving horses and vehicles, we're building on our solid foundation of road safety education and campaigning to make all road users aware of what to do when they encounter horses on the road. As the number of vehicles continues to increase resulting in busier roads, this means these routes are becoming much more challenging to use, especially for vulnerable road users like horse riders and carriage drivers. Our aim is to reduce the number of incidents and fatalities involving horses and riders on the road by involving and guiding all road users how to pass a horse safely. Our campaign is to inform drivers what to do if they encounter a horse on the road.
