The British Horse Society are the largest and most influential equestrian charity in the UK. The BHS makes a positive impact on the lives of horses and horse owners with wide-ranging campaigns and initiatives across education, welfare, access and safety.

Our Access & Rights of Way short courses are a great way of learning about the rights and responsibilities around the bridleways, byways and other access which enable you to ride or drive a horse off-road. They are designed for our volunteer Access and Bridleway Officers who are crucial in helping to defend use of public rights of way (learn more about volunteering) but are open to all.

Other Access & Rights of Way events are also provided throughout the year.
