Description

Please join us for our series of equine welfare and veterinary talks by Lucy Grieve.

This month it's all about the things you can do to keep your horse in the best of health. Join us and ask those questions and get the right answers.

Other talks in this series are:

Wednesday 16th Mar - Lameness

Wednesday 13th Apr - Vettings

We are very excited at BHS Cambridgeshire to have the brilliant Lucy Grieve share her knowledge and experience with our equine community. These sessions will consist of a talk and time for questions, so please come along to learn more about how to care for our four-legged friends.

Lucy Grieve MA VetMB MRCVS

Lucy is an ambulatory vet at Rossdales in Newmarket. She works with all types of sport and leisure horses and ponies – from family ponies, to elite sport horses and racehorses. Her main areas of interest are lameness, diagnostic imaging and poor performance. Lucy is immediate past President of the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) and has been a member of BEVA Council since 2012. She is also co-opted onto the Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) Thoroughbred Research Consultation Group. Through the BEVA she takes an active role in ongoing education of equine vets, writing articles, speaking at events and organising courses.

Rossdales
Veterinary Surgeons is one of the largest exclusively equine practices in Europe, providing first opinion and referral services, and employing over 50 veterinary surgeons and more than 100 support staff across four locations.

Their world-renowned Equine Hospital and Diagnostic Centre is located in Exning, two miles outside of the racing town of Newmarket. In addition to the hospital, they have a practice in the centre of Newmarket, which is the base of their specialised racing, stud, and sport and leisure horse ambulatory teams for clients in the surrounding area. It is also the location of their state-of-the-art equine diagnostic laboratory. They also have two ambulatory branch practices, one located in Hertfordshire and one in Lambourn.
