Developing Better Partnerships with Olympian Jeanette Brakewell

Join Jeanette Brakewell, one of Britain's most successful event riders and coaches, for an afternoon exploring her approach to training horses and riders. Jeanette's career includes an Individual Silver Medal at the World Equestrian Games, two Olympic Team Silver Medals and four European Team Gold Medals, achieved as part of one of the most successful periods in British eventing. 

Today, much of Jeanette's focus is on coaching. She is passionate about helping riders get the best from their horses through correct training, clear communication and a strong partnership. Her coaching is centred on what works for the horse in front of her and helping riders build confidence, understanding and skill.

Using demonstration riders and horses, Jeanette will show how she assesses horse and rider combinations, spots opportunities for improvement and chooses exercises to support their development. Covering both flat work and jumping, the 2 hr session will look at practical training exercises and the thinking behind them, giving coaches and riders ideas they can take away and use in their own training.
