Focusing On The Horse/Human Relationship With Bonny Mealand and Dr Emily Kieson
Friday 20 October 2023, 10am-3pm
Stirling Agricultural Centre, Stirling, FK9 4RN
Following on from the success of our 'Strengthening The Horse/Human Relationship' Conference in March of this year, this enjoyable and thought-provoking day is for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of horse behaviour and learn about cutting edge and clearly outlined training principles. The main focus will be on the most important elements that go into building a trusting partnership with your horse. There will be time for discussion and conversation and our guest speakers, Bonny Mealand and Dr Emily Kieson, look forward to your contributions.
Bonny Mealand has been working with and studying both domestic and wild horses for many years. She is passionate about sharing the valuable information she has learnt and showing how inextricably linked the worlds of domestic and wild horses are.
Bonny has extensive experience as an Equine Podiatrist and she is currently an Equine Science Masters student at the University of Edinburgh (Dick Vet). She regularly writes in equine magazines and runs her own business, Touching Wild, which you can find more information on here.
Dr Emily Kieson holds a PhD in Comparative Psychology, a MS in Psychology and a graduate degree in Equine Science. Her research focuses on equine behavioural psychology, equine welfare and horse-human interactions. Her current research focuses on equine friendships.
