Dumfries House MacRobert Farming & Rural Skills Centre Equine Open Day

In 2020, The MacRobert Trust provided a substantial grant to enable a new 'MacRobert Farming and Rural Skills Centre' to be built, based at Dumfries House. This centre will be run by The Prince’s Foundation and will represent a significant boost to the UK’s rural industry. The state-of-the-art facility will enable The Prince’s Foundation to host events and hands-on workshops for around 1,800 participants each year, including secondary school pupils, school leavers showing an interest in land-based jobs, and adult learners looking for new careers as well as farming and rural sector workers looking to upskill.

With the newly opened MacRobert Centre at Dumfries House, BHS Scotland and The Prince's Foundation are hosting a joint equestrian open day. The day will consist of a range of presenters and demos covering equestrian skills, including:

• Laura Nickel, Amazying Saddlery Ltd
• Jane Cumberlidge, Qualified Bitting Specialist
• Patrick Pollock, Director of the Glasgow Equine Hospital and Practice on Large Animal Rescue
• BHS Qualifications and Funding opportunities
• Catriona Davies, Access Officer, BHS Scotland
• Kirstine Douglas, Showing Producer.

There will be an opportunity to tour the facility.

Cost: £10.
