Book a lesson with popular coach Sam York FBHS.
Sam coaches everyone from novice and nervous riders up to advanced competitive riders. She is a Sport Horse breeder, young horse producer and competitive rider in all three disciplines.
1 hr Flat lessons with 2 people - £40 each
1 hr Jumping lessons with 3 in a group - £30 each
45 minute Private lesson (Flatwork or SJ) - £60.
Sam is a Fellow of the BHS and loves coaching riders of all levels and has a great empathy for riders of all types and is especially very supportive and encouraging with her more novice and nervous and recreational riders. She adapts quickly to the rider's needs and their current levels of confidence, always bringing the best out of people with compassion and respect.
Sam has a great energy and her passion for education and helping people is infectious. She has lots of great coaching techniques and adapts very well to all situations and individual rider needs. Sam has had great success with coaching individuals and teams, including the British Army and Great Britain youth teams and the India national teams. Sam embraces the use of modern technology. Sam is also a current competitive rider.
Conditions of Entry - please read carefully:
Riders
- Riders under 16 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the event.
- Hats to the current standard must always be worn and correctly secured when mounted. Please check yours meets current standards which can be found at http://www.bhs.org.uk/headwear.
- All riders must wear suitable riding footwear.
- Tickets are non-transferable.
Horses
- All horses must be no younger than four years of age and be of an appropriate fitness level for the activity being undertaken.
- It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure their horse is fit and healthy enough to take part in the lesson.
- Tack must be suitable, in safe condition and fit correctly.
- All horses must be up to date with equine influenza vaccinations and must be 6 days clear from their most recent booster vaccination.
- Horses should not be left unattended when tied to horseboxes or in the parking area.
- It is a legal requirement to have your horses’ passport when travelling to events.
Cancellations
- No refunds within 7 days of the lesson unless your space can be filled.
- If the event is cancelled by the BHS, the entry fee will be refunded less £2 administration cost.
At check out you will be asked to give your consent for your photographs and video footage to be used by The British Horse Society in printed, online or electronic publications, which may be shared publicly. Examples of these materials include, but are not limited to: posters, leaflets, brochures, adverts, emails, e-newsletters, blogs, web pages, social media posts, presentations, speeches, research or policy reports and press releases or other materials.
