BHS Trailer Safety Day

BHS Trailer Safety Day

Saturday 31 October 2026, 9am-1pm

Stirling Trailer Centre, Unit 3, The Paddock, Stirling, FK9 4RN

Horses often need to be transported, whether in a horsebox or trailer.  Whether you are transporting a horse for veterinary care, attending an event or transporting for any other reason, it's vital to ensure both you and your horse are safe at all times. Join us for this essential safety day and hear directly from the experts on how to transport horses safely and responsibly.

With trailer thefts becoming an increasing concern, we will also focus on trailer security, covering practical steps to help keep your trailer safe and secure.

The event will feature:

• Des Payne, British Horse Society and Stirling Trailer Centre (pre-travel checks and safety equipment).
• Stirling Trailer Centre (hitching up, unhitching, reversing, visibility and manoeuvring techniques).
• Barry Eastaugh, Eastaugh Training Company.
• Jane Ogilvie, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (large animal rescue).

• SPARC and Police Scotland Traffic (crime prevention and road policing).

Open to all.

Free event (tea/coffee will be provided).

Booking required in advanced for numbers. Numbers will be limited.
