Bike Bus Summit 2026 - Lisbon

The Global Bike Bus Summit 2026 is the international gathering that fully dedicates to the growing movement of “bike buses” — groups of children cycling to school together, guided by trained marshals.

On 29-30 April 2026, Lisbon will host educators, city officials, researchers, community leaders, parents, and advocates from around the world to exchange knowledge, tools, and inspiration on safe, fun, and sustainable school mobility.

With keynote talks, practical workshops, networking sessions, and live bike bus demonstrations in the city, the Summit will showcase how this grassroots initiative is transforming the daily journey to school into a healthier, more joyful, and climate-friendly practice.

Whether you are running a bike bus, planning to start one, or shaping mobility policies, join us in Lisbon to help build the future of child-friendly cities.

What's included:

The General Admission ticket includes attendance to all presentation, plenary sessions, roundtables and workshops, participating in Bike Buses, a group ride, as well as coffee breaks during both days.

Registration for workshops and breakout sessions on 29 April will be done via a form sent to participants before the event, allowing you to choose your preferred sessions in advance (subject to capacity).

What's not included:

Meals are not included and the closing dinner will have to be paid ate the venue.

The final party and dinner will require registration, including meal selection and dietary requirements. A specific form will be sent to participants before the event. The approximate cost of the dinner will be €35 per person.
