A celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and community in brewing! This summer, Bierbath invites homebrewers to showcase their best summer-friendly beers, compete for incredible prizes, and receive valuable feedback from expert judges—including local brewery representatives.

🏅 Brewery Choice Award – A selected brewery will brew the winning recipe, giving one homebrewer the chance to see their beer professionally crafted!

🍺 Beer Styles Allowed

This competition is all about light, crisp, and refreshing summer beers:
✅ Lagers & Pilsners (Helles, Kölsch, Pilsner, Mexican Lager)
✅ Wheat Beers (Hefeweizen, Witbier, American Wheat)
✅ Pale Ales & IPAs (Session IPA, Hazy IPA, Fruited IPAs)
✅ Sours & Fruited Beers (Berliner Weisse, Gose, Farmhouse Ales)
✅ Blonde & Golden Ales (Blonde Ale, Golden Ale, Cream Ale)
✅ Other Refreshing Styles (Radler, Shandy, Table Beer)

❌ Not Allowed (Winter-Style Beers)

We’re keeping it light and summer-friendly, so the following styles are not allowed:
❌ Stouts & Porters
❌ Barrel-Aged Beers
❌ Strong & Heavy Ales (Barleywine, Scotch Ale, Doppelbock)
❌ Dark & Malty Beers (Schwarzbier, Dunkel, Bocks)
❌ Winter Warmers & Spiced Ales

🍺 How It Works

🔹 Judging Criteria: Aroma, appearance, flavor, mouthfeel, and overall impression.
🔹 Panel: Judging will be conducted by expert brewers from local breweries. (To be Announced)
🔹 Entry Requirements: Submit 3 unmarked 12 oz. bottles, each with a label displaying your ticket number and beer style only.
🔹 Eligibility: Open to amateur brewers 21+ using non-commercial equipment.
🔹 Affiliation: Participants cannot be affiliated with any sponsoring breweries.

While the judging takes place, we’re throwing a party to honor homebrewers and their beers! 🍻 Join us on July 12 from 7 PM to 11 PM at Bierbath for live music, great company, and plenty of beer. Bring your friends and family to celebrate! If you’re bringing more than 2 guests, we recommend booking a table on the Bierbath website.
