The BIG FAT BBQ Fundraiser 2026

The Big Fat BBQ is back for our 3rd edition!

The Big Fat BBQ is an all-day ESEA-volunteer led barbecue fundraiser for the community and its allies. Every bite, every drink, and every raffle ticket goes towards two causes close to our hearts:

🍉 Medical Aid for Palestinians

Shorter queues, same great flavour

Last year's queues were brutal, and we thank those who braved them and met us with wide smiles at the tills. Our focus this year is to make real changes to how this event is run to greatly reduce wait times while still providing the same excellent quality of food, drink, and community spirit you expect. We will fire up the grills ahead of time to have food ready to go, add separate queues and more payment points, and improve how we make use of the limited space we have at ESEACC and its garden.

To stagger your arrival to the event this year, we have limited early access VIP tickets for entry from 1pm, and general entry after 2pm.

ON THE GRILL & SALAD BAR
There is an extraordinary line-up of London chefs contributing dishes that we will prepare for you on the day, including a Cantonese BBQ sensation bringing a charcoal roaster to Dalston. Jenny Lau aka Celestial Peach returns with the Asian Salad Squad (ASS™️).

AT THE BAR
We will have a full bar of soft and alcoholic drinks to wash it all down, including cans of Keller Pills generously donated to us from Lost and Grounded for this event.

SWEET TREATS & ICE CREAM
A small line-up of bakers are preparing some sweet treats for you to end your meal with. Soft & Swirly return this year with their delicious ice creams for you to pick from.

VIBES ALL DAY
Try your hand at Mahjong expertly hosted by Four Winds Mahjong. A line-up of DJs will be slinging tunes all afternoon.

THE RAFFLE
Prizes will be announced from 5pm. Ballots will be sold on the day for £2 each. Winners must collect prizes at the event.
