Big Ideas: Tenor Madness

Big Ideas presents large ensemble jazz, improvised, & experimental music performed by a rotating lineup of musicians based across the North of England.

We mark the recent passing of saxophone colossus Sonny Rollins with an evening of fresh interpretations of music from across his career. Inspired by the title of Rollins' Tenor Madness album (also featuring John Coltrane on the title track), we've assembled a unique ensemble of 8 of the North's finest tenor saxophonists and a dream team rhythm section - not to be missed.
