AI-driven methods are revolutionizing our ability to study, analyse, and understand human behaviour in health-related contexts. From monitoring physical activity with actimetry to analysing speech for mental health diagnostics, and the modelling of cognitive and affective states , AI opens new pathways for interdisciplinary research at the intersection of behavioural sciences, engineering, and health. This workshop will bring together researchers from diverse backgrounds to explore the latest AI tools and methods, foster collaboration, and generate innovative ideas for future research and funding applications.
Workshop Objectives
Foster interdisciplinary collaboration: Connect researchers in AI, behavioural sciences, neuroscience, humanities and health-related fields.
Facilitate idea generation: Inspire participants through panel discussions, lightning talks (3-5 minutes), and collaborative sessions aimed at identifying funding opportunities and developing cross-college grant proposals focused on AI applications for health-related behavioural research.
Include postgraduate researchers: PGRs and ECRs are encouraged to attend and are invited to submit a poster to discuss their work.
Target Audience:
- Researchers from CSE (e.g., computer science, engineering, data science).
- Researchers from the College of Life Sciences (e.g., neuroscience, psychology, biomedical sciences).
- Researchers from the College of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities working on cultural and behavioural research.
- Researchers in behavioural economics (e.g., School of Business).
- PGRs interested in AI and interdisciplinary health projects.
Call for Contributions
We invite contributions in the form of:
- Posters (PGRs and ECRs): Present your research on behavioural science, AI applications, or interdisciplinary health projects. Posters may focus on behavioural research with an interest in AI applications or showcase AI-driven work relevant to health and behaviour.
- Lightning Talks: Share innovative ideas, preliminary findings, or methodological advances in a concise, engaging format.
- Panel Participation: Join discussions on interdisciplinary approaches, ethical considerations, and future directions in AI for behavioural health.
