Our mission is to work in a variety of ways to generate environmental, social, financial, and inspirational value in a geographical area that we call the SE Ireland bioregion, and increasingly in other bioregions across Ireland.

We see bioregions as natural units for change: they are not too big and not to small to be ambitious, to honour natural ecosystems, to be free to work outside of the dominant (extractive) systems and to shift mindsets.

Our principles include being place-based, community-led, regenerative, systemic, holistic and guided by the common good. We focus on long-term change at a bioregional scale, focusing on relational connections to build the futures we aspire to.

Our role is to not do everything ourselves, but to build the relationships, support systems and financial pathways that allow large-scale, placebased initiatives to become more coherent, more connected and more resilient.

Our hope is to also act as a catalyst for bioregioning as a practical and essential approach to long-term change on the island of Ireland.
