A gathering of local farmers, food producers, chefs, collaborators and other passionate people wanting to build a stronger, more resilient local food system in south east Ireland - one that works for farmers, communities and the landscapes that hold them.

Come connect, exchange ideas and updates, meet others working across our bioregion and enjoy a delicious feast of local food, together. It's all free and we'll hopefully be outside (inside if not) so take the opportunity to come and make this event a real delight for all concerned.

There is plenty to celebrate and we’d love you to be part of it

We’ll share updates about inspiring milestones on the journey to building the missing infrastructures we need for local food produced and processed by and for local people. We'll celebrate the progress by Slí na Feirme - a collaboration led by Newbard Farm, Bioregioning SEI, and an ever-increasing network of famers, food businesses and wider partners. Slí na Feirme is championing small-scale livestock farmers whose viable operating models are dependent on access to infrastructure, shared ownership and support for long term sustainability. Learn more about the very exciting and very real prospect of opening a new multi-species meat processing facility. 

But food systems securing local food for local communities are about more than buildings and machines: It is about strengthening connections between farmers, food, communities and place and creating the human and physical infrastructure that delivers social, natural and financial value for the people and places they serve - for horticulture, dairy, grain, meat and more. Come, connect and join the journey to delivering the vision of a 'really resilient food system' in the south east and beyond.

Want to support Slí na Feirme financially?

Féasta na Feirma is free. Slí na Feirme is also looking for investors and donations for the start-up capital and costs of the multi-species processing unit. This can be done by using the option on the registration page. Choose a ticket type (Attend or Support) and both will give you the option to make a donation to Slí na Feirme Initiative - no upper limit. Larger investors are invited to get in touch directly and we can share the investor information pack.
