FROM BOND TO NEMESIS: THE THRILL-MAKING GENIUS OF JOHN WARDLEY

As the creative mind behind some of the world’s most iconic theme park rides, Warrington resident John Wardley is internationally recognised for bringing rides such as Nemesis, Oblivion and Air to Alton Towers. But as you'll discover, John's talents extend far beyond rollercoasters.

Following childhood experiments with illusions, fireworks and gadgets, John went on to build a remarkable career spanning theatre, film and tourism. His achievements have ranged from creating special effects for James Bond films, bringing waxworks to life at Madame Tussauds, and acting as a consultant on the hugely successful video game 'RollerCoaster Tycoon 3'.

In what's sure to be a fascinating interview, former BBC radio presenter Nick Robins will be inviting John to reveal how his theatrical flair, engineering ingenuity and deep understanding of human psychology combined to create unforgettable experiences both at home and abroad.
