Dragon Lady Mahjong Tournament

Welcome to Dragon Lady Mahjong hosted by BirdBam Cheers! Mahjong. We are thrilled to bring tournament mahjong to Lake Norman, NC.

Get ready for a different kind of mahjong tournament — one that blends tournament play with the fun of gathering around beautiful hosted  tables.  (Seeing everyone's tiles is part of the fun!) Players will rotate through four (4) 70 minute  rounds of American Mahjong using the 2026 NMJL card. Expect a thoughtfully hosted atmosphere filled with beautiful tiles, fun people,  a lovely toast, and a lot of friendly competition. Throughout the room, designated “Dragon Lady” hostesses will create unique table experiences using their own curated tiles, mats, racks, and personal style.

First time tournament players will feel welcomed! 70 minute rounds provide a small time cushion beyond most tournament set-ups. Veteran tournament players will feel seen. Thoughtful table rotations that place those desiring faster-paced play together should alleviate concerns of novice players slowing the pace.

Whether you are a newbie or a seasoned tournament veteran, and whether you  register as a single player, a Dragon Lady hostess, or alongside friends, this is more than just a tournament. It’s a premium social mahjong experience . (Sort or mahjong tournament meets lakeside garden party!) Don't miss it!
