Handbuilding workshop, tableware and decorative forms to feast from!

This class is a version of the 'FEAST' hand-building class we have held many times, comprised of three weeks hand-building, one week glazing, followed by an event to celebrate the fired and finished work and feast off the items together. 

Over three weeks you will create a series of objects to serve or display food. Your tutor Rose de Borman will show you how to make a cup or goblet, a bowl and dish,  and think about utensils in the broadest form. You can stick to the basics or you are welcome to use the class to make whatever you imagination can conjour. You will be supported with your ideas for coasters, candle holders, twiglet stands or jelly moulds, or sculptural pieces that can be centrepieces- the possibilities are endless. Participants are asked to bring some food to share on the last day (but it can be crisps and jelly snakes so no pressure for anything fancy). Its a chance to see all the work together before taking it home and to celebrate and test their functionality in a silly way. (The final feast is not charged, just a communal event to enjoy the pieces together.) 

The dates are 5 Tuesdays- September 15th, 22nd September, making 29th September glazing , 6th October and Feast day on 13th October. Work in this class will be high fired to stoneware temperatures for stronger more waterproof forms.  

This class can be as structured or as free as you like and Rose will support you to make your ideas with references and tips. We will decide as a class if we want to have a theme to our feast or see what comes of what we make.
