In this workshop you will learn about natural dyes, the colours they give and how to use them in a solar dye jar to create your own skein of multi-coloured yarn.

This eco-friendly and sustainable way of dyeing yarn creates an inspiring range of possibilities, and every skein is different. The wool will be British BFL 4ply. (It is difficult to use this method to dye vegan yarn, sorry I can't offer this option.)

All materials will be provided, just bring a pen and paper, an apron or old clothes (in case of splashes) and something to carry your heavy jar safely home in.

The session will last up to 2 hours, and a wide range of natural dyes will be available to choose and use in your jar. Full information and safety advice will be given at the session. Not suitable for children under 12.
