Summer Sangha Walk
Sun 4 Aug 2024 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM BST
Rowberry Garden Centre, DY10 4QN
Description
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
Join us this summer on Sunday 4 August for a lovely sangha walk through an ancient woodland and countryside just outside Birmingham. Along the way there will be periods of silence, a brief guided meditation and plenty of chance to stroll along and chat. The whole walk will take about 90 minutes and we'll stop for a lunch break, so please bring a picnic and a blanket.
Well behaved friends, family and dogs welcome - please consider how your four legged friends might interact with others on the walk though and remember poo bags!
ON THE DAY:
We will meet at Rowberry Garden Centre, postcode DY10 4QN. As you drive into the car park, there is a section of car parking off to the right, please park in that section. We have spoken with the owner of the garden centre and he is fine with parking. There is also a cafe at the centre that does drinks, cakes, and other food. We will meet at the garden centre at 11:30am and start walking at about 11:45am. The walk is fairly easy, with one slightly overgrown bit and five minutes on the road.
It is advisable to bring water, suntan lotion, a hat and take antihistamines before arrival.
We will go ahead with light rain but if there is any heavy weather forecast we will contact everyone who has booked before hand if we have to cancel. For this reason if you are intending to attend please book for yourself and any guests.
