LUIGI THE MUSICAL

Welcome to a story of health insurance, hash browns, and murder.

Luigi the Musical is a wildly irreverent, razor-sharp comedy that imagines the true story of Luigi Mangione, the alleged corporate assassin turned accidental folk hero. With real-life cellmates Sam Bankman-Fried and Diddy by his side, Luigi navigates friendship, justice, and the absurdity of viral fame.

Bold, campy, and unafraid, Luigi the Musical is both laugh-out-loud funny and surprisingly thoughtful. If you like your comedy smart and your show tunes with a criminal record, Luigi is your new favorite felony.

Directed by the visionary Nova Bradford, with original music and lyrics by Arielle Johnson, Luigi the Musical will leave you smiling... and wanting a hash brown.

Cast

Jonny Stein as Luigi

The alleged corporate assassin with a hidden vulnerability.
A comic based in Petaluma, CA, Jonny has graced the stages of Punchline SF, Broadway Comedy Club in New York City, and the Ice House in Los Angeles. As Luigi, he embodies a reluctant leader haunted by his past, grappling with the consequences of his actions, and searching for meaning amidst the chaos of prison life. His comedic timing and stage presence bring a unique blend of intensity and introspection to the role of the conflicted assassin.

Janeé Lucas as Diddy

The flamboyant music mogul with an undeniable flair for the dramatic.
A multifaceted artist with a wide range of talents—including stand-up comedy, acting, singing, and writing—Janeé is a native San Franciscan with musical theater experience since the age of eight. As Diddy, she is charismatic, outrageous, and unapologetically herself, bringing a vibrant and larger-than-life energy to the stage. Beneath the bravado, Janeé's portrayal reveals surprising vulnerability and moments of genuine insight.

Andre Margatini as Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF)

The disgraced crypto billionaire with a quirky, almost childlike demeanor.
A local Bay Area comic star and recent winner of the Three Strikes competition, Andre is known for hosting their own standout queer mic at Thee Parkside and gracing audiences with their dulcet tones. As SBF, Andre captures the fast-talking, jargon-filled tech bro’s awkwardness and misguided brilliance, adding a layer of comedic depth to the character’s complex financial downfall.

Caleb Zeringue as Guard

The no-nonsense prison guard with a dry sense of humor and hidden depth.
A comedian, writer, producer, and marketing director from the South now living in the Bay Area, Caleb has sassed up stages nationwide. As the Guard, he brings a tough but fair presence, laced with irreverent humor and a keen perception of the inmates' antics. Beneath the professional exterior, Caleb’s portrayal reveals a weariness and a hint of cynicism, balanced with a sense of duty and a desire for order.
