The Standards Sprint is a structured learning series designed to help companies move from understanding the B Lab Standards V2 to certification readiness with clarity, accountability, and practical next steps. The series is organized into an intro and three topic areas, following a weekly cadence. 

Adopting the B Lab Standards V2 represents a significant effort for many companies. While self-paced learning plays an important role, experience shows that progress is often accelerated through shared structure, accountability, and opportunities for applied discussion.

The Social Standards Sprint 2.0 is a hands-on learning series designed to support companies in moving from awareness of the standards to certification readiness and action—together.

The Social Standards Sprint 2.0 is a structured, supportive learning series that does live walkthroughs of the new B Lab Standards How-To (Year 0 Requirements) online courses, guided by B Lab staff to highlight intent, requirements, and key points of focus. Live, “study hall”–style sessions designed to help participants complete the courses with clarity and confidence.

Participants may attend individual sessions or the full Sprint, depending on their level of engagement with the B Lab Standards V2. The Standards Sprint is designed to support both companies preparing for recertification and those working toward their first submission, offering a clear, achievable path to certification readiness.

Session Descriptions

Week 1: Value of Certification, setup, and B Impact

Wednesday October 7th, 8am PST / 11p EST

In this first week, we will walk you through the setup process of the new B Impact App interface, ensuring your company profile accurately reflects your size, sector, and geography.

B Lab team members will host a live walkthrough of the setup module to ensure your self-assessment is accurate and up to date, so you leave the session confident to dive into the B Lab Standards V2 with a self-assessment tailored to your company’s context. We will also cover the value proposition of B Corp Certification,and how to socialize and make the case for certification internally with key stakeholders and leadership at your company.

Week 2: Human Rights Course Walkthrough

Wednesday October 14th, 8am PST / 11p EST

Human rights due diligence is essential for any responsible business, extending from your direct employees to your broader supply chain. This session explores the intent and requirements of the Human Rights Impact Topic, with a focus on risk assessment and mitigation.

Week 3: Fair Work Course Walkthrough

Wednesday October 21st, 8am PST / 11p EST

The Fair Work topic ensures that every individual in your workforce has access to safe workplaces, fair wages, and clear feedback mechanisms. This session explores the baseline expectations for your B Corp to support your employees as humans and community members.

Week 4: JEDI Course Walkthrough

Wednesday October 28th, 8am PST / 11p EST

Creating an inclusive workplace is a continuous journey. This session focuses on the JEDI requirements online course of the V2 standards, ensuring you understand the policies and practices necessary to support a diverse and equitable workforce.
