FUSION LAB - Staged Reading

FUSION LAB STAGED READING

Featuring Spotter & Kill Test

Since 2021, the Fusion Festival has brought together writers, directors and actors to workshop and develop new works by Canadian playwrights & screenwriters.

Building on this tradition, we’re proud to introduce The Fusion Lab, a new initiative dedicated to supporting Canadian artists through year-round workshops designed to facilitate the creation of new Canadian works. The program will provide opportunities for artists to develop their work, with selected scripts showcase at our annual Fusion Festival!

This season, we’re excited to present staged readings of two original Canadian plays written by Brandon Nicoletti.

SPOTTER

Featuring: Patrick S. McEwen & Blake Pyne

When Kai nearly injures himself during a bench press, Tyler steps in and offers to be his spotter. The two men form an unlikely connection that sparks conversations about body image, modern dating, and the way gay men see each other.

KILL TEST

Featuring: Marisa Roggeveen, Andy Kalirai, & Scott Clark

A rookie operative must extract information from a captive while her mentor tests her resolve.

Join us at Naturlandia on November 27^th at 8:30pm for an evening of new Canadian theatre. Come experience original storytelling, support emerging Canadian artists, and help us continue our tradition of bringing bold new orks to the stage and screen!
