Join Climate Power for Black x Green, a conversation on art and environmental justice featuring photojournalist Cornell Watson, whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, TIME magazine, and more.
This conversation will explore how climate and environmental justice intersect with art, journalism, and agriculture in North Carolina, and the challenge of connecting climate issues to everyday life beyond natural disasters.
As extreme weather, rising costs, and environmental inequities increasingly affect Black communities, nontraditional storytellers have the opportunity to lift up stories that move beyond trending news cycles and connect climate change to people’s daily lives.
Light refreshments will be served
