(ENG) This is our opening night at Casa Holstein Quinta de Sao Sebastiao, an elegant hotel set in the centre of Sintra, and within the borders of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. We cannot wait to make this beautiful space Black Cat's home every two weeks this summer!

We're kicking off with the perfect movie to represent the power of film in an open-air setting: The Italian classic, Cinema Paradiso.

The film starts at 21:00. The bar opens for drinks and music at 19:30. Food and popcorn are available from 20:00. We recommend arriving early to settle in, enjoy the atmosphere, and pick up something from the bar and kitchen. Despite the summer weather, the wind can be strong here, so we always recommend bringing a warm jacket and/or blanket.

Every event here will be accompanied by a bespoke food menu specially designed to complement the film. And, of course, there will be a full bar menu on offer as well.

Food, drinks, and popcorn are available both before and during the film. Please note, it's cash or MBWAY only for popcorn!

Film Information:

Plot: Salvatore, a famous film director, returns to his hometown for the funeral of the local theatre's film projectionist, Alfredo. Cinema Paradiso is a love letter to cinema and follows Salvatore as he reminisces about his life as a young boy falling in love with the silver screen.

The film won the 1990 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and both the movie itself and the musical score by Ennio Morricone are considered to be legendary.

In case of rain, the event will continue. If there's heavy rain, we will postpone the show and all tickets can be returned or will be valid for the new date.
