POCOCO Panel Discussion & Gallery Hop in Kenton
POCOCO Panel Discussion & Gallery Hop September 2025
Presented by the newly formed Portland Coalition of Art Collectives (POCOCO)
Saturday, Sept 20th (2pm to 4pm) POCOCO Panel Discussion at Oregon Contemporary (8371 N Interstate Ave, Portland, OR) followed by Gallery Hop to Carnation & Well Well, finishing up with a no-host happy hour at Mayfly (8350 N Fenwick Ave, Portland, OR 97217).
Join members of Blackfish Gallery, Carnation Contemporary, Gallery 114, Waterstone Gallery, and Well Well Projects as we discuss what it means to be part of a cooperative gallery. There is over 100 years of collective experience between these organizations and we want to amplify, celebrate, and discuss challenges together.
There is a lot of synergy within our cooperative galleries, which is important especially in this current moment. How do our galleries act as a community resource? How do artists and our communities engage and support these spaces? How do we encourage and amplify support amongst ourselves and for our artists? How can we bolster our communities through our spaces?
The panel discussion will take place at Oregon Contemporary and will be approximately 60 minutes, then we will split into two groups to hop into Carnation and Well Well concurrently, then switch after 20 minutes or so.
From there, we will head around the corner for a happy hour at Mayfly (8350 N Fenwick Ave, Portland, OR 97217).
