About Talgarth Future Connections

Talgarth Future Connections is a community event being developed by the Centre for Collaboration in Community Connectedness (C4) in partnership with Black Mountains College. Building on the success of the recent Connecting Talgarth event, it will bring together local residents, community groups, volunteers, students, and businesses to share ideas, make new connections, and explore opportunities for the future. A key aim will be to support future action in Talgarth.

In recognition of individuals participation at the Future Connections event we would like to offer a £20 Love2shop voucher to say thank you.

Why are we gathering?

We know that communities are facing many challenges, from economic uncertainty and rising costs to environmental change and pressures on local services. At the same time, communities have enormous strengths: people care about where they live, have valuable skills and experience, and often find creative ways of supporting one another. This event is about creating space to recognise and build on those strengths.

What to expect

The event will offer a “breathing space” for people to come together, reflect on what matters to them, and think about the future they would like to see for Talgarth. At the Connecting Talgarth event we began to think about what a thriving well- connected Talgarth community could look like, highlighting the communities’ existing strengths and assets. Through creative activities, informal conversations, and facilitated discussions, the Future Connections event will bring people together to imagine positive futures and how to take practical steps together to make this happen.

Practical Info

Food, drinks and childcare facilities (by an experienced childminder from Land Under Waves Forest School) all provided. Booking will help us to manage numbers on the day. Booking is limited to two places per group.

What are our hopes?

We hope the event will lead to stronger community connections, new relationships and partnerships, fresh ideas, and the development of community-led projects that benefit Talgarth. Through ongoing support from the C4 programme, the event will also help connect community knowledge with student learning and research, creating opportunities for collaboration as well as longer term community projects that seek to make a positive difference locally.

Community Grants

To support this pathway for action, a small grant fund will be available to apply for through the C4 programme to enable selected community-student collaborations to progress beyond the event itself. Funding may support research activities, creative projects, community engagement initiatives, or other forms of community-led action that emerge from the conversations and connections developed during the event. There is a requirement that the projects need to be focused on Talgarth and C4 priorities.

About C4

This event forms part of a wider programme supported by the Centre for Collaboration in Community Connectedness (C4), a UK-wide initiative working with Talgarth to better understand and strengthen how communities connect and work together. To find out more about C4 please visit the website: c4.ac.uk/

How the information from the event will be used

This isn’t a one-off event — the insights gathered will help shape C4s work in Talgarth and community-led projects over the next four years. An information sheet and consent form will be sent after booking. Please take a few minutes to read these to find out more about C4, what it means to be involved and how the data will be used. You will be asked to fill in a consent form.

Ynglyn a Cysylltiadau'r Dyfodol Talgarth

Mae Cysylltiadau’r Dyfodol Talgarth yn ddigwyddiad cymunedol sy’n cael ei ddatblygu gan y Ganolfan ar gyfer Cydweithio mewn Cysylltedd Cymunedol (C4) mewn partneriaeth â Choleg y Mynyddoedd Duon. Trwy adeiladu ar lwyddiant y digwyddiad diweddaraf Cysylltu Talgarth, bydd hyn yn dod â thrigolion lleol, grwpiau cymunedol, gwirfoddolwyr, myfyrwyr a busnesau ynghyd i rannu syniadau, gwneud cysylltiadau newydd ac archwilio cyfleoedd ar gyfer y dyfodol. Un o'r prif nodau fydd cefnogi gweithredu yn y dyfodol yn Nhalgarth.

I gydnabod cyfranogiad unigolion yn nigwyddiad Future Connections, hoffem gynnig taleb Love2shop gwerth £20 i ddweud diolch.

Pam yr ydym yn ymgynull?

Rydym yn gwybod bod cymunedau yn wynebu nifer helaeth o heriau, o ansicrwydd economaidd a chostau cynyddol i newid amgylcheddol a phwysau ar wasanaethau lleol. Ar yr un pryd, mae gan gymunedau cryfderau enfawr: mae pobl yn gofalu am ble maen nhw'n byw, mae ganddyn nhw sgiliau a phrofiad gwerthfawr, ac yn aml maen nhw'n dod o hyd i ffyrdd creadigol o gefnogi ei gilydd. Mae'r digwyddiad hwn yn ymwneud â chreu lle i gydnabod ac adeiladu ar y cryfderau hynny.

Beth i ddisgwyl

Bydd y digwyddiad yn cynnig cyfle i bobl ddod at ei gilydd, myfyrio ar yr hyn sy'n bwysig iddynt, ac ystyried y dyfodol y hoffent ei weld ar gyfer Talgarth. Yn nigwyddiad Cysylltu Talgarth mi ddechreuon ni feddwl beth gall cymuned sut y gallai cymuned lewyrchus a chysylltiedig yn Talgarth edrych, gan dynnu sylw at cryfderau ac asedau presennol y gymuned. Trwy gweithgareddau creadigol, sgyrsiau anffurfiol, ac hwyluso trafodaethau, mi fydd digwyddiad Cysylltiadau’r Dyfodol yn dod â phobl ynghyd i ddychmygu dyfodol cadarnhaol a sut i gymryd camau ymarferol gyda’n gilydd i wneud i hyn ddigwydd.

Gwybodaeth Ymarferol

Darperir bwyd, diod a chyfleusterau gofal plant (gan ofalwr plant profiadol o Ysgol Goedwig Land Under Waves). Bydd archebu lle yn ein galluogi i reoli niferoedd ar y diwrnod. Mae llefydd wedi ei gyfyngu i ddau le i bob grŵp. Am fwy o wybodaeth am Cysylltiadau'r Dyfodol Talgarth ebostiwch vita@blackmountainscollege.uk neu WhatsApp/ ffonio Vita ar 07591 826 765.

Beth yw ein gobeithion?

Rydym yn gobeithio bod y digwyddiad yn arwain at gysylltiadau cryfach yn y gymuned, perthnasau a phartneriaethau newydd, syniadau newydd, a'r datblygiad o brosiectau wedi'i arwain gan y gymuned a fydd yn fuddiol i Dalgarth. Drwy gefnogaeth barhaus gan raglen C4, bydd y digwyddiad hefyd yn helpu i gysylltu gwybodaeth gymunedol â dysgu ac ymchwil myfyrwyr, gan greu cyfleoedd ar gyfer cydweithio yn ogystal â phrosiectau cymunedol hirdymor sy'n ceisio gwneud gwahaniaeth cadarnhaol yn lleol.

Grantiau Cymunedol

I gefnogi'r llwybr gweithredu hwn, bydd cronfa grant fach ar gael i wneud cais amdani drwy'r rhaglen C4 i alluogi cydweithrediadau cymunedol-myfyrwyr dethol i symud ymlaen y tu hwnt i'r digwyddiad ei hun. Gall cyllid gefnogi gweithgareddau ymchwil, prosiectau creadigol, mentrau ymgysylltu cymunedol, neu fathau eraill o weithredu dan arweiniad y gymuned sy'n deillio o'r sgyrsiau a'r cysylltiadau a ddatblygwyd yn ystod y digwyddiad.Mae gofyniad bod angen i'r prosiectau ganolbwyntio ar flaenoriaethau Talgarth a C4.

Ynglŷn â C4

Mae'r digwyddiad yma'n rhan o raglen ehangach a gefnogir gan y Ganolfan ar gyfer Cydweithio mewn Cysylltedd Cymunedol (C4), menter ledled y DU sydd yn gweithio gyda Thalgarth I ddeall a chryfhau sut mae cymunedau yn cysylltu â chydweithio. I ddarganfod mwy am C4 ewch i'r gwefan: c4.ac.uk/

Sut bydd y wybodaeth o'r digwyddiad yn cael ei defnyddio

Nid digwyddiad untro yw hwn — bydd y mewnwelediadau a gesglir yn helpu i lunio gwaith C4s yn Nhalgarth a phrosiectau dan arweiniad y gymuned dros y pedair blynedd nesaf. Anfonir taflen wybodaeth a ffurflen ganiatâd ar ôl archebu. Cymerwch ychydig funudau i ddarllen y rhain i ddysgu mwy am C4, beth mae'n ei olygu i fod yn rhan o'r broses a sut y bydd y data'n cael ei ddefnyddio. Gofynnir i chi lenwi ffurflen ganiatâd.
