Need help?
Are you responsible for costing research projects? Do you need a way to help you think about the costs you need to include in your funding bid?
The Specialist Centre for Public Health (SCPH) delivered by Newcastle University and Partners have developed a research costing tool designed to support local authorities in calculating the costs of research projects/activities and in preparing funding applications. In addition to helping users calculate the total costs of their research, it offers practical guidance on key factors to consider when completing research funding applications.
In this session, Lesley Anderson from the SCPH Newcastle University will:
- Discuss the background to the development of the research costing tool
- Present the research costing tool spreadsheet using a worked example
- Discuss the Specialist Centre for Public Health’s next steps for launching the research costing tool
The session will be relevant to:
- Local authority staff responsible for costing research projects
- VCSE organisations costing research projects
- Anyone involved in developing funding bids, from small, internal projects to large, national grant applications
