Low-Cost Group Therapy (8 Week Course)
Without community, there is no liberation - Audre Lorde
Community is crucial to our mental health and physical health, and our upcoming course of low-cost, virtual, group therapy offers a space to be strengthened, witnessed and held in a supportive shared environment. Sessions are facilitated by specialist practitioners and are grounded in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed and culturally attuned practice. We recognise that identity, power and context matter, and our groups honour complexity rather than asking people to leave parts of themselves at the door.
Group therapy themes often include:
- Exploring patterns in relationships and connection
- Building self-understanding through shared reflection
- Developing emotional awareness and expression
- Practising boundaries, communication and care
- Working with belonging, identity and difference
- Finding solidarity, language and possibility through collective experience
You do not need to have anything figured out before joining a group. Curiosity, uncertainty and ambivalence are welcome too.
Session structure:
- We start each session with a check-in to share how we're doing
- We decide on a theme or themes for the session
- We explore the themes together
- We end the session with a check-out
