Background -
The Republic of San Cordoba, a struggling coastal nation in South America, has become the newest battleground in the global war on drugs. For years, the powerful Los Martillos Cartel controlled jungle river routes and remote smuggling corridors, moving cocaine, weapons, and cash through isolated villages and corrupt port towns along the Gulf of Espera.
After a series of assassinations targeting government officials and undercover agents, the San Cordoban government requested international assistance. In response, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration deployed elite FAST (Foreign-deployed Advisory and Support Team) operators to work alongside the nation’s tactical police units in an effort to destabilize cartel operations before the country slips into total cartel control.
Recent intelligence has identified a major cartel expansion near the coastal region of Puerto Verde, where Los Martillos has established hidden cocaine production facilities deep within the jungle. Protected by armed fighters and concealed beneath dense rainforest canopy, these labs are operated with the help of some local civilians who are paid by the cartel to harvest coca, refine narcotics, transport supplies, and warn of police movement. Some civilians cooperate willingly for money and protection, while others work under intimidation and fear for their families.
As part of Operation Hammerhead, DEA FAST teams and San Cordoban police forces launch a coordinated offensive to locate jungle labs, intercept narcotics shipments, seize cartel weapons caches, and capture high-value targets connected to Los Martillos leadership.
The operational environment is chaotic and unpredictable. Civilians move constantly between villages, farms, and cartel-controlled areas. Informants, smugglers, and armed cartel lookouts blend into the population, making identification difficult and increasing the risk of collateral damage. Every patrol through the jungle may uncover a hidden lab, an ambush site, or frightened locals trapped between government forces and cartel rule.
What this event is -
Operation Hammerhead is a 24-hour immersive Military Simulation event focused on semi realistic tactics, roleplay, and dynamic interactions between military, cartel, police, and civilian elements.
This is not a skirmish-style event built around constant firefights or nonstop action. Players can expect long-form objectives, patrols, intelligence gathering, checkpoint operations, negotiations, reconnaissance, civilian interaction, and unconventional warfare scenarios. Combat may be intense and sudden, but patience, teamwork, and immersion are key parts of the experience.
All participants are expected to remain in character where possible and follow instructions from their chain of command and event staff.
Certain camping areas are considered patrol harbors, these are in game areas where eye protection must be worn at all times, including sleeping. Units in an “off game” campsite must have magazines out and guns on safe.
Note on uniforms for this event.
