Join us Saturday, August 17th for a special tour offering! Pancake Saturday is everything that we offer as part of our Finger Lakes Guided Outdoor Black Walnut Tour - plus Pancakes! And not just any pancakes. We've added a unique twist on classic hotcakes by making them from 100% perennial plant-based ingredients ( + an egg, salt and baking soda).  Our pancakes feature products from the kinds of nuts we can grow in the Northeast, including chestnut flour, black walnut milk from our own black walnuts, and hazelnut oil. Our standard tour invites you to learn about our amazing black walnut trees, a tree that prefers not to grow in the woods, how we are getting black walnuts from tree to table and try cracking and maple glazing black walnuts for yourself. But everything is better with pancakes so pancakes will make our standard tour even better! (Those with tree nut allergies should carefully consider if this special event is a good fit for them).

Tour guests are welcome to come earlier and / or stay later to explore all our additional related self-guided site activities. Create a black walnut craft, make s'mores, learn how to estimate the age of a tree, play lawn games, look at found things under a microscope and more! We've got something for everyone and unlimited access is included as part of our tour.

Cancellation Policy- As this is a fully outdoor activity, we DO NOT operate tours on days when the weather is not conducive to safe, fun and orderly operations. If your tour is cancelled due to weather, we will work with you to reschedule or offer a full refund if rescheduling is not possible.

Liability Waiver- As no activity is risk free, we require tour participants acknowledge our liability wavier. Save time by filling it out in advance! A link to the waiver will be included with your booking confirmation email.
